I was on set yesterday with a Canon C500, having some trouble matching looks between Resolve and LiveGrade. Eventually I figured out that this camera uses extended levels (0-255) when shooting C-Log. This applies to both the SDI output and recorded MXF files. So in Resolve, you have to interpret the footage as data levels, and in LiveGrade, set extended in, legal out. This way everything matches. I could not find this documented anywhere, so I'm sharing it here for the benefit of others. Are there other cameras that output extended levels through SDI? It's the first time I've come across it.
