Hi, Just wondering if there are any grading courses (from beginners to intermediate to advanced) in Scandinavia? Am interested in the colorist strategies course from ICA, but also courses about color management, calibration, how to work with a control panel, etc. Also, any colorists in Scandinavia who would be open to showing someone like me the ropes? Perhaps a short term thing, a weekend thing or similar? Am stationed in Stockholm. Thanks!
Hi Tina, though i don't know anything about training courses here's a project that might be interesting to you. Some friends of mine are organizing a kino kabaret in Lapland this June. For ten days 50 filmmakers from all over the world are going to gather to produce tons of short films. There are going to be three productions sessions of 60 hours each. In the beginning of each session several people pitch their ideas, team up with others, shoot and edit. After picture lock there's an extra day reserved for music composing and sound design. I suggested to the organizers that this extra day could also be used for image enhancement. So i'm going to prepare a small color grading workshop based on Resolve. It's dedicated towards people who haven't done much grading on any system so far. So it's probably nothing you would benefit from. But there are dozens of short film to be graded each sessions. So if you wanna get some practice it might be the right thing for you. The idea of a kino kabaret is meeting people, having fun and producing loads of shorts in a creative non competitive environment. In Finland they are cooperating with the Midnight Sun Film Festival.
