Great blog post about building color suite

Tomislav Stojanovic Dec 17, 2016

  1. I just spent two hours searching for great article that is actually a blog post. If I am not mistaken, it was written by a guy who was a consultant to build high end color suite. It had something like 15-20 pages about building color and finishing suite - from cabling to putting lights into grading theater. I tried everything but I just can't find it. I've read it something like three years ago.

So, maybe someone has the link? These are the clues:
    - guy writing it was consultant to convert sound studio to grading studio (I think it was in germany for some reason)
    - he bought something like two Dolby PRM monitors
    - software was Mistika
    - he also installed projector on reinforced floor (because it was too weak)
    - I remember on of the Dolby monitors was installed in front of the colorist but could be pushed "into" the table, to have clear view of the projector screen

... that's all I remember. Someone has a clue? It's really great lerning resource, so I hope we can find it somehow.

  2. That's terrific -- thanks for sharing that, Tomislav.

Glad you found it Tomislav. How far away does Jonne live? We have to buy him a beer.
