Gentlemen, yesterday I decided to open Adobe SpeedGrade CS6 just to feel if it's good and try to grade something. As soon as I opened the app, my Wave Panel loaded up all menus and options and I managed to play a little bit. After that, I turned off my computer. This morning, I turned on my computer, opened Resolve and guess what? My wave panel is not working anymore. It does not even load Resolve's menu. But when I got back to SpeedGrade CS6, it is still working.... Did anyone face the same problem? What to do? Thanks, Elieser Jairo
I dont know if its any help, but normally this happens to me the other way around. Once I used resolve my panel stays in resolve mode, untill I go into resolve, preferences, choose none in control panel options, quit, and reboot resolve. Maybe its the same with speedgrade? Antway, try the steps with resolve, it might help! Good luck!
That was the first I did in Resolve. Set control panel to none, restarted, set control panel to Tangent Wave. I try to do that about 20 times. I also tried to restart computer and reinstall Resolve. Nothing works! I don't know if there is something I can do inside SpeedGrade.
Well, this may sound incredibly dumb, but uh.. I tried to start Speedgrade to have a look for you, knowing that previously I didn't have any issues, but know I'm also stuck with my Wave! If you find any solution be sure to let me know please...
*MAYBE*..... I had this kind of problem during my switch between project graded in Color and project graded in Da Vinci. For example, DaVinci took the driver of the tangent only for himself. I had the DaVinci menu on the tangent Wave when grading in Color... True... I solve that problem by opening DaVinci and set (in the preferences tab) "control panel" on "none". Maybe it's the same with speed grade...? I've never tried it with the wave... Good luck !
If you're running the Resolve 8.2.1 release version there is a bug in the third party panel implementation. Uninstall 8.2.1 and install 8.2... and test wave. The 8.2.1 beta 3 version actually worked fine. This is only any issue with the release version. And this is the case with both USB and network interfaces. Not sure what the reason some installs seem to work, while others have problems.
Juan, do you know how to find the previous Beta version? I can't find it on BMD's site. And oh yeah, seems I was wrong about the Wave and how it wasn't affected by the new version. Udate: I found the version laying around on one of my drives and yes it worked for me. Thanks!
Archived versions... Resolve (Full) Mac: http://blackmagic-design.com/support/archive/?sid=3948&os=mac&pid=4448&custom=1&dlSeries= Win: http://blackmagic-design.com/support/archive/?sid=3948&os=win&pid=4448&custom=1&dlSeries= However, I don't see archives for the Lite version.
No they are not there, luckily I found the installer on my drive. if anyone needs it, just sent me a message.
I'm not sure how communication with the Wave is handled. I have the same problem with my JL Cooper from time to time. The solution is to change the port number to something else. Doesn't matter what number, just switch it to something new, restart both the control panel and Resolve, and it usually does the trick. I really feel your pain, Elieser. It's a stress factor you don't need.
Unfortunately, the Wave doesn't have a port number, it's USB. But reinstalling the Beta version does work.
This isn't the same problem. It's a major issue with the newly update version of 8.2.1. Expect a fix soon,
You work for BMD or you did it in the past? Anyway they've got a very fast way of solving costumer issues. Thanks, Elieser Jairo
