Is there a list of hidden features? like a tips and tricks? Just for the Mini
- Even with the 'log' mode activated, the trackballs will operate as lift/gamma/gain if you're in certain sub-menus on the GUI, like noise-reduction etc.
Reviving this thread because I'm having an emergency. I just upgraded to 18.1.3 and my Mini no longer connects to Resolve. Has anyone else had an issue like this? Running Windows 10. All was working perfectly well until I upgraded.

Good idea Pepo!
Here are mine, at least the suggestions that come to mind right now:
- When switching to Power Windows, set the viewer to window mode to. (Right now I have to press window->qualifier->window to often)
- Disable Offset mode when Log is pressed and vice versa
- When pressing reset RGB, Level is reset to even if disabled in preferences
- Wishing for activation of the 1 to 16 (right side) buttons for direct node selection. Use the Home button as Shift when hold. (Home can toggle to home when short pressed. It's a useless button when grading)
- Let me customize it please. At least the Viewer button above the trackballs and the encoders as they are not back lit labeled anyways...
That's it for now. Perhaps I'll add more posts when I stumble over stuff while grading ;¬]
Daniel,
The app called "Keyboard maestro" in combination with a Stream Deck can create a macro for direct node selection. I have programmed it so that I have multiple nodes which I can switch to immediately.
Joey D'Anna a Mixing Light contributor did a tutorial about creating keyboard maestro macros including node selection. Search for that tutorial on the Mixing Light Website if you are a member.
Hi Tony, I know how it works. But first I am on PC and my problem is that the antialiasing on screen changes the labels so that the script engine doesn't see the similarity anymore...
Daniel, What brand and model GUI monitor are you using?
Suddenly the Mini panel is no longer connecting to Resolve. Both 19.1.4 and 20.1 on 2019 cheesegrater under Sequoia 15.6.1. It is via USB and Tangent Wave and Streamdeck connect fine through the same USB hub. Anyone having the same issue?
after using both the Mini and Elements set for the last several years, i took the Mini out of service yesterday, replaced with another Elements set, they are a better fit for me
if BMD allowed user mapping, it would be on the desktop, not on a shelf today, and would have two more for company
Elements with warp engine is compentent and flexiable, the Mini is compentent, and decidely not flexiable
